Support Diocese

CDKD fosters a strong sense of belonging by offering virtual worship services, prayer groups, and spiritual retreats.

The *Catholic Diocese of Kitale Diaspora Group (CDKD)* bridges the Diocese of Kitale in Kenya and its members living across the globe. The diaspora consists of individuals who have built their lives outside the Diocese, whether in Nairobi, Mombasa, the United States, Europe, or other regions. However, the bond that ties them to their spiritual roots remains strong despite the geographical distances. CDKD exists to nurture and maintain these connections while providing tangible and meaningful support to the Diocese.

These initiatives allow members to stay connected to their spiritual roots and support one another, even from afar. Additionally, CDKD encourages members to actively participate in the development of the Diocese by contributing financially, offering their expertise, and supporting various initiatives.

At the heart of CDKD’s mission is the *spiritual development* of its members and the Diocese. Distance from Kitale doesn’t have to mean a distance from faith. One of the most powerful ways the diaspora can support the Diocese is by *actively participating in spiritual initiatives* that strengthen the Church as a whole.

Virtual Worship and Prayer Groups

CDKD can organise virtual worship services, prayer groups, and spiritual retreats to unite its members for shared moments of faith. These activities provide a sense of spiritual continuity and growth, allowing diaspora members to maintain a deep connection with the Church despite being far from home.

Ongoing Catechesis and Religious Education.

CDKD can also support the Diocese through educational initiatives, such as providing resources for ongoing *catechesis* and religious instruction. The diaspora community is filled with well-educated, experienced professionals who could help create online courses, webinars, or workshops focusing on various aspects of the Catholic faith. By offering these opportunities for *ongoing religious education*, CDKD ensures that its members remain spiritually engaged and that the Diocese continues to fulfill its mission of spreading the Gospel.

Financial Contributions: Building a Stronger Church Together.

One of the most impactful ways the diaspora can support the Diocese is through *financial contributions*. The Catholic Church depends on the generosity of its members to fund everything from church renovations to community outreach programs. The resources available to the diaspora—many of whom are working in financially stable environments—can be used to uplift the Diocese and help it achieve its goals.

Supporting Parish Infrastructure.

Many churches within the Diocese of Kitale need infrastructural improvements. The diaspora can contribute by helping to fund *renovations of church buildings, **construction of new parishes, or **improvements to existing facilities*, such as schools or health centers run by the Diocese.

 Funding Community Outreach Programs.

The Catholic Diocese of Kitale is involved in numerous community outreach programs, many of which aim to help the underprivileged, support education, and provide healthcare services to those in need. These outreach efforts require financial backing to ensure their success, and this is where CDKD can step in.

Diaspora members can raise money to support these critical programs by organising fundraising drives, charity events, or donation campaigns. This financial assistance not only meets the immediate needs of the community but also helps foster long-term sustainable development within the Diocese.
